Unplugged from the Matrix
This building is awesome inside and out. The news that George Washington once visited this place is really cool. The fire place is really neat one of the best I've seen. The food; I had a couple of beers and a crab cake sandwich. The beers were good, the sandwich was dissapointing, though it had real chunks of crab. The fries and the crab meat sandwich were not so good. It lacked flavor and just fell apart when I tried to bite into it. So because of my experience I am giving 3 stars to the food. Everything about this place is five stars all day, but my sandwich was not equal to everything else.

Cozy place with good food and great live music. The prices are a little high considering the food quality, but nothing unreasonable. The atmosphere is cozy with an Irish Pub style. Live music on the weekends (check the website).

We love eating here on our annual family Annapolis day. The outdoor seating is a bit crowded, but cool with a view on a hot day. They have a kids menu with the regular stuff, or boys usually get the hot dog or pizza bagel. The steamed mussels are amazing... the old bay sprinkled on makes them heavenly. We've never had a bad meal or experience.

I have to say this is a top notch Tavern! Took my sister here for her birthday and the staff were amazing and made us feel very welcome. The food was, spectacular! My sister and I shared the Chateaubriand platter. Good lord we went to heaven! Tender, juicy and absolutely perfect! (and enough vegetables to feed a village! All 4 of us ended up sharing this scrumptious dish tho our husbands had their own plates! ) Thank you for a great evening!

If you go here and you're having cocktails two drinks I would suggest, the oyster shot, and the green tea shot. Don't frown up at the oyster shot it was good. Both phenomenal! For the food I had the crab cakes which were on top of a fried green tomato; so very Southern. They were awesome. The bartenders were very friendly and the service was excellent.

Very popular brunch place right next to the water. The food is really good. We got the french toast filled with creme cheese and covered in fruits. Coffee is not that good, but it's unlimited refills. Sit down outside for the beat experience. Average brunch price is $35 for two.

It's easy to miss the entrance to Middleton tavern but it's worth a stop for lunch. Nice bar area and TVs to watch Navy Beat Army... hopefully. Food is okay but not great.

This tavern was fantastic. It is a historic place: the oldest tavern (bar) in Maryland. Also, George Washington spent the night at this establishment. The muscles and shrimps were absolutely fantasic. We devoured them swiftly and they were excellent.The waitstaff was good: they were very busy as the establishment was full to crack, but we received what I would call good service considering the demands. They also staued and provided a modicum of conversation if desired. But they were busy.It is a vit small, vut then again, we have to remenber that it was built hundreds (200 uears ago) of years ago. I am okay with that.All in all, I would return. It was a hood time.

Starters were ok, but entrees were terrible except one which was Ok! Our food were cold and even old! If your food was not delicious it could be ok, but when you send old and cold food to your costomers it is 100ΓΒͺ disrespectful!

Had dinner there a few years ago everything was great, made the ceaser salad at our table, seafood and steaks were great. This time the food was awful and very over priced, service could not have been worse, server had no idea what she was doing, even filled my water glass with warm water, would not clear the table even when they brought dessert we had to move the the dirty dinner plates. Was very surprised at the quality of the food, the prime rib was like a steak butterflied and broiled. Crab cakes were bad, I was very disappointed in the entire experience. I do not recommend, go to McDonaldΓ’β¬β’s, much better.

Middleton Tavern is a seafood restaurant/bar. We arrived Friday evening around 630. No oysters. Again Friday evening no oysters at 630PM. If a seafood focused restaurant doesnt have a core ingredient what else is messed up. The entrees were expensive and just did not taste to expectation. My salmon was way over cooked. The other food was below average at best.Our child order spaghetti. The noodles were no spaghetti noodles.No oysters. No spaghetti. Everyone had to wear their jacket.The owner should sell. The restaurant is not worth going too. We will never go again.Quality control needs to be instituted.

We sat on the outside eating mussels on a nice sunny day and it was wonderful. We had the mussel appetizer and it was a huge plate of mussels for just $12 and they were delicious. I also had the smoked brisket sandwich for $12 and it was delicious. I would highly recommend eating here! Prices and food were great, outdoor venue was excellent.

I had two appetizers, crab ball slider, two the size of meatballs, taste was typical and good, but much smaller than slider bun. But for $5, it's what you get. Also tasted the oyster shooters, came with double shot of beer. They were huge and tasty. I will come back and try something else

Get the oyster shooters with beer chasers. It's a very fun place with great food and drinks selections. Right in the heart of downtown. You can sit upstairs for dinner especially if you have kids, it makes it a lot easier. Bartender was very fun and welcoming and very present to get you what you need. Enjoy...

The food was okay The service was good and the price was high. You have to take in consideration you're on the water and you're in a tourist area and this is a tourist type of restaurant. I would recommend it for first timer I don't know if I would make it a regular state of affairs but I definitely enjoyed my first time and I will say they tried their best.
